In the morning, on the way to an adventure

Welcome back to the last part of the New Zealand photo series! Fret not, comrades, for I will post other travel photo series in the near future.

If I may be your Sommelier of Suitable Songs, I’ll suggest This Song, to get in the right mood for New Zealand, or just to get your daily dose of “mindfulness”. 😉 Buckle up, cause today I take you to Milford Sound, all in the comfort of your own home!

A nice little waterfall as a starter course, before the main course..

Oh, I almost forgot this, these are some surroundings on the way…

Don’t go chasing waterfalls? Yes, I will!

A beautiful boat ride! These boats look like ants, but they’re those boats with 2 or 3 decks on top of each other…(decks? Storeys? I don’t know, I’m not a sailor!) They shrink in the shadow of Mr. Mountain

Aah, the main course of the waterfall menu has arrived! Yummy!

You sail a little bit out just to the open sea, so you get to see Mr. Mountain’s brother here, then you go back into Milford Sound again

Like the true land crab that I am, I had to take a guided walking tour afterwards, in the amazing “temperate rain forest”. I felt like I was in The Shire (Lord of the Rings). No hobbits though!

“Now, what the hell is this”? you may be thinking. I’ll tell you. These are tree branches , hanging down… Overgrown with.. everything! Mosses and even little plants(!), start growing on the trees’ branches, in these parts. Apparently it’s because the climate is so humid and welcoming to all things that grow. So they can’t help themselves! If you love nature, like I do, you may have liked this random nugget of information. If not, forgive me, I’m a nature nerd sometimes!

I ‘ll probably do a couple of my “normal” blog posts as my next thing, but I’ll be back before you know it, with more photos from other countries. I made a new category on my blog “Photography”, so you can find this sort of posts easier. Hope you enjoyed this series! Love//SurvivedNarc
