Are you a rainbow hunter, just like me? In the highlands you can catch them quite frequently!

Welcome back to the Scotland Photo Series, part 4! We can not get enough of Scotland, so we will have this part and an additional 1 or 2 parts, then we will be finished with Scotland, and look at some other place! Although we will always return to Scotland in our hearts, of course!

(Oh, and if you’re new to my blog, feel free to check out all the other 11 parts of my photo series from around the world. You find the category “Photography”, by clicking Here, and you get a new window that opens). Without further ado, let’s put on our explorer boots!

At this old castle, they filmed some of “Monthy Python and the holy grail”, for those of you who’ve seen that.

Since we are so lucky to have such an otherworldly light for photography this morning, we take a cruise on the quite famous Loch Ness.

Back out on Isle of Skye, we visit a little area with some strange, ancient rock formations.

Upon seeing that strange area of rock formations from the road below, we could not resist, could we, no, we just had to climb up the hills to see how it looks at the top..

Back on mainland we take a stroll by this river. Can you feel your soul being rejuvenated by the lush greenery and the tranquil sound of the river?

We stop at a farm to visit a hairy highland cow face to face, or “hairy coo”, as we say in Scotland. I don’t know why, but I think he looks like a “Rufus”, so that’s what I named him (in my head only, I didn’t want him to get an identity crisis, by calling him a strange name!). I’ve seen some cows go free in Scotland, especially on the islands. But “Rufus” lives too close to a village road, so he has to stay at the farm. Do not worry, they seemed to treat him very well! πŸ™‚ Β

After a full day’s exploring, let’s treat ourselves to some afternoon tea at a lovely old country house style cafΓ©!

That’s it for the Scotland adventures today! Keep an eye out for the last 2 parts, which will be posted soon. Thanks for visiting, hope you enjoyed this!
