Hello! Back with some photos from the countryside again, this time from a rather small and very odd island: things that grew there, really invaded everything!

Now, the countryside here is normally very lush and green in summer, but this island was just over-the-top, absurd. Absurdly beautiful. Perhaps it’s like the forest in Lord of The Rings: “Folks used to say there was something in the water that made the trees growย tall, and come alive….“. You’ll see what I mean in one photo especially…ย

“We be spaceships..or flowers….flowery spaceships…….

….and we be invading y’all with all our relatives, too!”

I have a new camera by the way! Nothing fancy, cheapest “real camera”, but still, a little step up from cel phone cameras and whatnot! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a Canon and you can switch lenses on it, etc. Now I have to save up, to be able to buy different, better lenses. This one is just the very basic one, included in the purchase.

Oh and here’s a song, too, if you want to relax. Our national anthem, very beautiful and relaxed version, if you need to chill out. You may heave heard it once before, but it’s quite nice, so posting it for those who haven’t heard it.

This is your de-stressing blog post, mid-week. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (The song’s pretty loud on the recording, at least when I played it, so turn it down a bit if you need to, take care of your little ears)!

Afternoon sun over the meadows…

Now a great thing you may not know about my country is that we have the “Right of public access”, meaning you could walk freely over that meadow above here, and the owner can’t forbid you to do so. You can walk anywhere in nature; meadows, forests, doesn’t matter if anyone owns them.

You can even camp a day or two, with a tent, anywhere you like in the forests. That’s pretty sweet! Of course, you couldn’t camp right next to someone’s house, you have to respect their privacy, too. Common sense applies! ย ๐Ÿ™‚

If you got an old tire and don’t know what to do with it… make something nice like this! ๐Ÿ™‚

My hostel “room” for the evening, a mini cabin!

The new leaves on the oak trees really take my breath away with their color when the sun shines on them!

Can you see the “veins of life” (as I wanted to call them when seeing this image)? ๐Ÿ™‚ย

This is by the grocery store, and these old buildings from early 1900’s were really cute, with the branches of lilac trees hanging down, and the lovely afternoon light peeking through, so I just had to make it an “antique style” photo!

Green, green, everywhere, I love this idyllic place!ย

Lilacs are so wonderful, their scent is one of my favorite ones!

See what I mean?! Things grow like crazy here! One more week, and the owner of this little cabin won’t even find his cabin under all that green stuff! ๐Ÿ˜€ He better come home and get to work…

I was so happy to be able to photograph this! My old camera wouldn’t have been able to capture this kind of stuff at all. ๐Ÿ˜€

No, I’m not drunk. Nor are you.(?) ๐Ÿ™‚ This old shack has seen better days. But hey, still standing…!

So peaceful, to sit down by the boathouses…

Aah, he (she?) didn’t want to pose for more than a second, but still glad I even captured it, in this photo! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you enjoyed these! Even though I mostly photograph scenery, plants, etc, I try to shoot my pics in a few different styles/ different things, so as not to bore my dear readers. ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Second part of these photos will come next week. If you’re disappointed you didn’t get a poem this week, you may have missed myย Sad Love Poemย yesterday, so feel free to check that out. Will probably post some more poems later this week, too. See you soon!
