After Evil has touched you,

caressed you,

tortured you for years,

it leaves.

But not until

it’s planted its seeds

of eternal darkness,

within you

And not until

it’s made sure

you will never, ever

rise again

You did though,

but where you walk

it’s so dark, so very dark

and the foggy veil

of years with Evil,

separates you, from them

The further you walked,

the more you thought

you’d taste sweet victory

But equal parts numb,

and horrified, all you feel

are those black seeds,

suffocating sunlight,

with their wild growth

And you know

In your chest is still that knife

And you know; Evil has won

Still numb, you wonder; for life?
